Cognitive behavioral therapy can be beneficial to people suffering from social anxiety disorder.
In this type of therapy, sufferers learn to identify thoughts and behavioural patterns which lead to feelings of anxiety.
The therapist will discuss these thoughts and behaviours and help the sufferer to be more realistic about them and the situations which bring them about.
